Nigerians are celebrating Christmas with the rest of the globe as they join Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in honoring the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Yuletide greeting from Oborevwori was provided to newsmen in Asaba on Sunday and was contained in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.
He exhorted Christians to use the Christmas season to pray especially to God for a more harmonious and peaceful nation.
He urged Nigerians to put aside their resentment and strive toward the nation’s progress and unity, saying that Christmas is a time to express love and care for one another.
According to him, progress and investment can only come to a peaceful country.
He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to using the state’s current state of peace as leverage to guarantee equitable development throughout the state.
He stated, “I congratulate all Christians in the state and country as they join their brothers and sisters in faith all over the world to celebrate the 2023 Christmas on behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta.”
