On Sunday, a collision occurred along the Orile-Imo stretch of the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway, narrowly sparing nine fortunate individuals from death.
The collision caused the bus to topple over and the car to go off the highway. The involved vehicles were a Mitsubishi bus and a Toyota sedan.
An eyewitness told reporters, under condition of anonymity, that the drivers’ high speeds caused the collision.
According to the source, “I observed that the cars were traveling at a high speed when one of them lost control and struck the other.” A few minutes after it occurred, I arrived.
Florence Okpe, a spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps’ Ogun State Command, confirmed the accident when contacted.
She said that the drivers’ excessive speeding was what caused the collision.
“I can confirm that the accident occurred along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway’s Orile-Imo section. Nine people—six men and three women—were involved, but none of them lost their lives. The three women who were hurt were transferred to the Idera Hospital in Sagamu, the spokesperson stated.
