The Nigeria Football Federation revealed the 25-man Super Eagles roster for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire. On Friday, December 29, 2023, the team was announced on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) X account. Three goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders, and eight strikers were on the roster, according to head coach Jose Peseiro. The selections were NPFL player Olorunleke Ojo, Stanley Nwabali of South Africa, Bruno Onyemaechi, and Bright Osayi-Samuel. Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, William Troost-Ekong, Ahmed Musa, Victor Boniface, Moses Simon, and Samuel Chukwueze are among the notable individuals on the list.
Before going to Côte d’Ivoire for the competition the following year, the Eagles will take a plane to the United Arab Emirates and camp there.
The three-time AFCON champions will play Equatorial Guinea-Bissau, Côte d’Ivoire, and the hosts.
