Despite interest from two Premier League clubs, Eddie Nketiah’s move away from Arsenal is not approved by manager Mikel Arteta.
This season, Nketiah has made 23 appearances across all competitions. During the January transfer window, he will not be bought or loaned out.
The UK Sun adds that Arteta considers the Englishman as an important element of his squad.
Ivan Toney of Brentford has been linked to Arsenal, and Nketiah has recently attracted interest from Crystal Palace and Brentford.
However, even if Toney does decide to sign with Arsenal, they won’t let their 24-year-old player go because they need a deep bench to compete fiercely for the Premier League title in the second half of the campaign.
