The state government has officially stated that 267 officials will be promoted within the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). On Saturday, December 23, the traffic agency’s management verified this development. This promotion drive comes after eleven officers were recently fired for misbehaviour. Segun Adeyemi, who has over nine years of experience covering political events, civil society, courts, and the metro, says that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has started to send letters to 267 junior staff members who were recently promoted. The Promotion Committee of the Personnel Management Board (Junior Staff Committee) formally approved and confirmed the promotions. According to a statement released on December 23 through LASTMA’s official communication channel, Adebayo Taofiq, the director of public affairs and enlightenment department, confirmed that the organization’s management started distributing promotion letters to the 267 junior staff members on Friday, December 22.
