As a bequest for Christmas, the Anyamelum Local Government Area’s Transition Committee Chairman, Hon. Livinus Onyenwe, has started distributing multiple 50kg bags of rice and grain to APGA local government executives and council members in the Anyamelum Council Area. Furthermore, the Council Boss himself personally oversaw the distribution of monetary gifts, emulating the joy of giving and the spirit of Christmas.
This program complies with Governor Soludo’s instruction to the transition committee chairmen and is in line with the Anambra State Government’s pledge to put policies in place that will lessen the effects of the removal of fuel subsidies. Members of the local administration have reacted with great joy to the distribution of rice, which falls into two main categories, expressing their appreciation for this kind gesture.
The distribution will help ward chairmen, female leaders, and secretaries in each of the 24 wards of the Anyamelum local government. Ten sacks weighing fifty kilograms of rice and grain seedlings for council members would be distributed to each ward.
Speaking prior to the distribution, Hon. Livinus Onyenwe underlined that this initiative’s main objective is to lessen the effects of the present economic hardships, especially for Anambra’s vulnerable population. In spite of economic difficulties, he applauded Governor Soludo’s administration for its proactive approach to community welfare and emphasized its dedication to the welfare of the Anambra people.
Hon. Onyenwe assured the executives that further democratic dividends would follow from their continued support of the Soludo-led administration. Executives from various wards responded by thanking Governor Soludo for his generosity and well-wishes, and they also praised the TC Chairman for placing the welfare of the populace at the top of the local government’s agenda.
Mrs. Uzoamaka Stella Okafor, President of the Omanbala APGA Sisters, thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the Christmas present, highlighting its commendable and spectacular character. She expressed her gratitude to TC Chairman Hon. Onyenwe for his commitment to the welfare of the APGA ward executives and for cultivating a positive working relationship with them. Mrs. Okafor promised to work hard to win support for the Anyamelum Council Area’s continued governance under the leadership of the APGA.
The distribution of gifts and relief supplies, which represented the end of the campaign with a Christmas theme, celebrated the occasion.
