Roberto Calenda, Victor Osimhen’s agent, asserts that his client never considered quitting Napoli.
On Saturday, Osimhen and the Partenopei agreed a renewal of their contract.
According to the new agreement, the Nigerian international would stay at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium until 2026.
The 24-year-old was said to be leaving Napoli throughout the summer.
Additionally, the Serie A champions declined a substantial offer for the forward from Saudi Arabia.
According to Calenda, Osimhen’s top goal was elevating Napoli to the top.
“I’ve heard that I didn’t want him to renew and that I’d rather take him elsewhere. Blame-game convention prevails. It was untrue. I speak for Victor, and I’m interested in what’s best for him. Since the summer, Calenda and Ii Corriello Dello Sport have both desired a renewal.
Many offers—some very horrifying—came in the summer of last year, but De Laurentiis was keen to retain Victor, so we offered our services. We would have made a statement if we had wanted to go.
